Nicolas Warembourg, new assignment within Loftsails!

Nicolas Warembourg, racer and coach of Ultramarina clinics, have new assignment in the Brand Loft Sails International, his partner since 2013. He’s explaining us his new missions in this brand.

You are a Loftsails racer and you have just taken some responsabilities in this brand?

Yes, I am rider for the international team since two years. And a few months ago, the managers of the brand have proposed me to integrate the managing team.

Could you explain your role?

I have two international missions :

Team manager of french national and international Team
Manager of produit development

I am very happy to work on these two domains that passionate me. For the second, I take the development along the way but work on all product lines was well advanced for 2015. I will also have mission of innovation with new products for different products.

What are your goals in your mission of team manager?

My goals are to follow and help the team riders in their season: material receipt, press interviews, management of their image for the brand… but also, for the first time, training camp for the team. Last month, we began with the first training camp Loft Sails in Turquey for the slalomers before the world cup PWA of Alacati. Other camps will be organized according to the shedule of riders. it will bring together international, national riders and opinion leaders. The most important thing is the riders share to be more efficient with the material. We will create training situations similar of race reality. Some training will be sheduled for the new wave and freestyle team in 2015.

What do you ask the team riders?

I want serious preparation and lot of engagement during the races. I am her to facilitate the things and that their only preoccupation is the race. They have their own goals according to their level. In slalom, leaders have a ranking goal for each world cup stage and for general ranking; young riders must do everything to rank the best and take the place of the best riders! The training camps is created to share gear settings or races tactical keys. Then, the race is the race, and everyone for himself!
